Catwoman (Selina Kyle) is a DC Comics character that varies her role from supervillainess or anti-hero and antagonist, friend, asociate and love interest of Batman, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger for Batman #1 in 1940. She is a burglar of great beauty who dresses emulating a cat and has extraordinay atletic skills.

She is commonly seen in a tight spandex or leather costume that has varied with time, with the only contants that save for his first appearance in which she only wore a green dress, it always shows her siluhete in detail, has decorative cat-ears in her head, sharp claes in her gloves and that her face is partially covered with a cowl, a domino mask or goggles. The color has also varied from purple, gray, black, green and blue and certain elements come and go, like the wiskas, the tail, domino mask, gloves, the clevage, the green cape, and skirt bottom, making her the Batman rogue with most appearance chenges over the years. Her weapon is her trademark cat-o-nine-tails whip.

Most times she operates as a burglar, working alone and using her gadjets to sneak into places with hight security to steal valuable objects. Like The Penguin with the birds, Catwomans has a soft spot for cat themed valuables, but she is not obsessed with the idea. As Selina Kyle she donates a great deal of his dishonest earnings to good causes, specially those dedicated to animals and specially to felines. She also works for hire to special missions that include bounty hunter. However, like the Penguin and the Joker, in past versions of the character, she has operated as a themed villiain with a gimmick that leads a gang.

Catwoman is often considered the mother of femme fatales in comics. She is often portrayed as being an independent and agressive yet calm, flirticious and seductive woman. Despite having Batman after her, she desires and flirt with him while fighting, making theirs a love/hate on and off relationship. More than the rest of Batman's enemies, reforming is a big theme in Catwoman's life. In most continuities, Catwoman goes back and forth between being a villain or a friend and ally Batman. Actually, in the current DC Comics continuity, she has recently becomed protector of Gotham's west side and is now a member of the Outsiders.
