Critters is an episode of the second season of The New Batman Adventures. Its somewhat hated by the fans because of how out of place the story is in the context of Batman. It first appeared on September 19, 1998, written by Joe R. Lansdale, and directed by Dan Riba.

A man known as Farmer Brown creates hideously mutated overgrown animals that overrun Gotham City in revenge for various wrongs. It is up to Batman and his allies to save the city from a bizarre destruction.

- Many fans hate the episode because of its B-movie plot, but co-creator Bruce Timm cites the episode as one of his favorites, and recorded a commentary for it on the Volume 4 DVD boxed set.
- Bullock references Jed Clampett from The Beverly Hillbillies.
This episode's title probably refers to the movie Critters.
