Doctor Joan Leland is a fictional character created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm for Batman: The Animated Series as a Psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum.
Unlike Doctor Bartholomew, Joan is kind and has a more optimistic perspective on the interns. She realesed Harleen Quinzel a. k. a. Harley Quinn and Arnold Wesker a. k. a. The Ventriloquist / Scarface when they achieve certain sanity.
