[edit] DC animated universe biography
He looks like an old fashion innocent "Amish-like" small town farmer, but he's actually a mad microbiologist that decides to host Gotham city ransom with monstrous critters a year after the courts ruined his business by order him to cease his experiments and take his creatures out of Gotham. From that point, Brown uses his farm as a "front" to conduct more experiments until after a year he has an army of giant, mutant animals to unleash in Gotham City in revenge.
In the Ney Batman Adventures episode, Critters, Batman, Robin, Batgirl and Detective Harvey Bullock manage to defeat all his creatures and apprehend him along with his daughter.

Farmer Brow (whose first name remains unknown) is assisted by her strong, big and yet beautiful daughter, Amy Lou Brown.
She lives and works with Farmer Brow, who introduced her as his daughter (so far the only given explanation about their bond), but it remains unknown whether there is or was a Mrs. Brown. Her unusual physic and strength, implies that she is a laboratory experiment just as the rest of Farmer Brown’s critters.
[edit] Design
Farmer Brown looks and dresses like an authentic average middle aged slim and tall Amish hiding his mad scientist nature. Meanwhile, his daughter Amy Lou fashions herself as the stereotypical hillbilly girl any farmer would have as his daughter, but the particular shape of her body (she is too voluptuous and built, yet her physical features tend to perfection) gives away the artificial aspects of her nature.
[edit] Appearances in other media
In Streets of Gortham city #4 Broker gets Mr. Zsasz a slaughterhouse that used to belong to a "Farmer Brown Pork Co.", a company that had been recently relocated elsewhere. The building has a big advertisement painted in an exterior wall showing a figure identical to the Farmer Brown of the animated series.
