Firefly (Gardfield Lynns), a DC Comics supervillain and enemy of Batman, consistently appeared in Batman: The Animated Series, and several of the related series created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini, played by Mark Rolston. He is an insane pyromaniac armed with an isolating suit and helmet and and a fire weapon.
Wizard Magazine #172 revealed the producers wanted to introduce the character since Batman: The Animated Series, but the idea didn't past through Fox Network's sensoreship as any other pyromaniac character. When the series was revamped as The New Batman Adventures in Kids' WB!, the producers finally got the opportunity to use the character.
