Waylon Jones a. k. a. Killer Croc is a fictional DC Comics character and one of the main and most recurrent enemies of Batman. He is strong muscular man characterized by being born with a rare case of ichthyosis that actually give him mutant crocodile features and abilities. He was created by Gerry Conway and Don Newton in Batman #357 (May 1983).
He is an orphan raised by his abusive alcoholic aunt in Florida, that eventually turned to crime to make money.
In his first appearances he only a built man with a skin condition an certain reptile features, but in the late 1990s comics his body started getting more and more exaggerated until the point that sometimes he was portrayed as having an actual crocodile head.
In the Pre-Crisis version he is responsible for killing Jason Todd's father.

Croc met Bane before the Knightfall story arc he has a severe confrontation with Bane and he ends up with both arms broken. He is sent to Arkham Asylum and after Bane frees all the inmates including him, they both have an inconclusive fight.
In Batman: Hush, the Riddler and Hush infected Croc with a virus that deformed him and set him to perform a kidnapping in order to have the money to pay for surgery. Of course being Hush the surgeon, he only injected him the antidote.
