As in the comics, in the DC animated universe, Leslie Thomkins has a close friendship with fellow doctor Thomas Wayne and his wife and, along with butler Alfred Pennyworth, takes care of their son Bruce after they die. Appointment in Crime Alley his relationship with Batman is revealed. Leslie knows Bruce Wayne's secret activities as Batman, gives him medical atention in crisis and is one of his main emotional advisors and confidant. In Perchance To Dream, although she is not licenced as a psychologist, she gives Bruce key information to understan how his reality is changing.
Some time earlier, she and Thomas are also friend with Doctor Matthew Thorne, who after loosing his license becomes the Crime Doctor, aiding criminals and allies of his brother syndicate Rupert Thorne. In Paging The Crime Doctor, when Rupert gets heart complications, Matthew is forced to seek Leslie's aid to operate him. When Rupert notices Leslie is resistant to operate him because of his criminal activities, he orders his henchmen to get rid of her when the operation is over. However, she escapes thanks to Batman and Matthew.
In Blind as a Bat, after he has an incident with the Penguin, she aids Batman get his sight back.
She is absent during The New Batman Adventures, but makes a final appearance in a cameo scene of Chemistry in Bruces wedding along with other formerly absen characters like Zatanna, Summer Gleeson, Kirk and Francine Langstrom.
In the film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker Batman mentions to Terry McGinnis that Leslie takes care of Tim Drake after the Joker brainwashed him. That's the last thing know about the character in the animated universe.
