Unlike the comics and recent portraits in The Batman and Batman Begins, in the DC animated Universe Lucius Fox is only involved in the business aspect of Batman's life as Wayne Enterprises' business manager. He is often seen when Bruce Wayne is making business decitions or needs to use his business contacts to get information useful to his Batman persona.
In Feat of Clay Matt Hagen (the actor who later becomes Clayface) impersonates Bruce to assault him as part of a Roland Daggett plot to get rid of his competition. Batman has to get evidence to prove Fox that Bruce didn't attacked him. In Double Talk Scar-face and his goons force him to take money from Wayne Enterprises.
