"Tabula Rasa" (episodes 29 and 30) is the second two part episode of season two of the animated series Justice League.

Lex Luthor manipulates a powerful android created by a late Professor Ivo. The robot, known as A.M.A.Z.O., has the ability to copy and collect any superpower he encounters as well as great intelligence, but has little knowledge of the world. Posing as a father figure, Lex convinces him to fight against the Justice League. Luthor was still in control of Lexcorp through Mercy Graves, who was questioning her loyalty towards him at the time. Meanwhile, J'onn questions the nature of humans, and struggles with the burden of hearing thousands of their minds in his head at the same time.

[edit] Trivia

  • The name A.M.A.Z.O. was never used until the second season of Justice League Unlimited. Although in the episode Lex was reading a paper with the android's picture and name on it.
  • In comics, the main goal of Professor Ivo is to evade death. Ironically, he never made an appearance alive in the series. It is Luthor who deals with his own mortality in this episode instead. Later, in Divided We Fall, Luthor tries to achieve inmortality by atempting to move his mind into a new A.M.A.Z.O. body.
